Are you ready for 5-sessions of excitement and knowledge of the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department? Then come join our Free Citizen’s Fire Academy. The 5-session curriculum is designed to increase understanding of fire and emergency operations and to promote citizen interaction with the women and men of the USCVFD.

The training program will consist of both classroom and practical instruction.  Participants will attend 3-hour sessions on Wednesday evenings (7-10 pm) for 4 weeks, and an additional 1 day on Saturday (9:00 – 4:00) to get your CPR/ AED Certification. You will leave the academy with an understanding for the job that firefighters work on daily with hands on experience.

You may apply by filling out an application from our website and emailing your completed application to or in person any Wednesday evening 7:30-9:30 at 2001 Washington Rd, main station.
