DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC, THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR RESIDENTS IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. AS SUCH, WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THIS SESSION OF OUR CITZENS ACADEMY HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE AS TO BE DETERMINED.

Are you ready for 5-sessions of excitement and knowledge of the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department? Then sign up for our Citizen’s Fire Academy. The 5-session curriculum is designed to increase understanding of fire and emergency operations and to promote citizen interaction with the men and women of the USCVFD.

The training program will consist of both classroom and practical instruction.  Participants will attend 3-hour sessions on Wednesday evenings (7-10 pm) for 4 weeks, and an additional 1 day on Saturday (9:00 – 3:00) to learn about vehicle rescue techniques. You will leave the academy with an understanding of the job that firefighters do on a daily basis, with hands on experience.
